I really like the way you framed the “third option.” Most of the time it feels like we’re stuck between believe the ugly thought or deny it, and both just make the spiral worse. The idea of slowing down, checking for evidence, and giving yourself room to be a decent human again is simple in the best way. Some of my lowest moments have happened at 30,000 feet with a stranger or a crew member, and it’s always shocking how fast a small grace can change everything. Thanks for the reminder.
Really appreciate you for getting in touch and sharing this 🙏 I've definitely fallen for the either/or mentality before, and the fact that neither outcome is ideal can be really disempowering - but that's why simple rules can have an outsized impact 💛 what small act of grace helped you reset recently?
A couple weeks ago I was having a rough morning and a flight attendant handed me a cup of coffee and said, “You look like you need this more than I do.” It was such a small gesture, but it snapped me out of my own head and back into the world. Tiny grace, huge reset.
I love that, my brother's a pilot so I sometimes wonder how he deals with a bad day at the office thousands of feet in the air ✈️ I'm convinced that the smallest acts of kindness are the most essential, and this proves it 🙏 thanks for sharing Jake
Thanks Margaret 😃 I must admit I do have a bit of fun with the headers of the letters, looking forward to seeing what your post covers! What was the inspiration for your post if you don't mind my asking?
It is something I wrote longer ago and it was inspired by one of those beautiful conversations with strangers. Also, by the memory of a friend who taught me an important lesson many years ago.
Love this! It's amazing how a conversation with a stranger can bring up some of the important lessons we may have forgotten over the years 🙏 looking forward to reading it when it goes live Margaret ☺️

Judge me fast and slow! That's a good one.
I am just posting something that vibes with this one.

I have so many to share! It is live now.
Great! I'll get myself a coffee and treat myself to a little read this evening ✨
P.S. How have you started to challenge your thoughts? What have you discovered about yourself in the process?
