I used to knit a lot. I wasn’t half bad at it but I stopped. I was afraid to pick it up again thinking I had lost the touch, I am too distracted and busy to sit down with a project, I would get frustrated with complicated instructions etc. So I started small and easy then out of the blue jumped in to making something I had never tried before, a hat. And while it’s not perfect it’s actually done in time to give it to someone special. Yup it’s going to look handmade but it feels good to know I took a risk with my ego and time and I’m better for it.
Thanks for sharing this Diane, it's so easy to give up when things don't immediately come back to us, but I'm delighted you stuck with it and are now making items you can gift to others 🙏 great example of perseverance
P.S. What was the last really hard thing you chose to do? How did it challenge you?
